This is a two-disc, special edition soundtrack to the hit John Hughes film, 'Sixteen Candles.'  This classic 80's teen comedy movie starred Molly Ringwald, Anthony Micahel Hall and Michael Shoeffling.

As with most John Hughes soundtracks, they were either a) never created for the film or b) were released missing many songs from the film. That's the case with this soundtrack. The original soundtrack was actually a six-song EP released on vinyl and cassette.

This edition compiles thirty-seven songs as heard in the film over two discs -- that's thirty-one bonus songs!  Excellent collection of New Wave / Pop of the day. Hughes had a sharp ear and it shows!
